THE ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION: Breaking News and Crime Intern

Following my internship at Georgia Public Broadcasting and as a result of my exceptional performance in the Georgia News Lab program over the spring and summer, I received an internship with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution from August 2020 to January 2021.

I was placed with the Atlanta Now team, the publications crime and breaking news unit. After elections and pandemic reporting earlier in the year, I now focused on stories including storm damages, car accident reports, shootings, robberies, apartment fires, traffic alerts, the Biden victory in the 2020 election and a few features on particular individuals. I often covered multiple stories daily. My final and biggest project was Atlanta's 2020 Homicide Victims Interactive.

Following this, I interned at CNN.
